Girl Power

I don’t what’s happening in the universe, but it feels like too many of us strong incredible women are in a funk these days. No disrespect to all you sexy handsome lads out there, but us ladies have a lot on our plates! Between family, friends, work, relationships, wellness and wondering about where life is leading us, we can be stretched a little too thin.

Audrey Quote

Often, we instinctually accept responsibility for so much more than ourselves. We put ourselves last in line in order to give everyone around us the love and attention they need. We provide, protect and prioritize the things we feel we must do to, whether they’re issues or real importance or otherwise.

It’s times like these we must step back. We have to take a deep breath and re-focus on tangible moments, positive passions and powerful mindsets. We need to remember how mental our struggles really are so we can realize we’re stronger than our own greatest weakness.

Anonymous Was A Woman

Ladies… you’re AMAZING, you’re BEAUTIFUL, you’re STRONG, you’re DRIVEN, you’re WORTH MORE THAN YOU KNOW and you DESERVE THE BEST.
Period, no questions asked, ever.

Where ever you are on your journey, whatever challenges are being thrown your way and regardless of the obstacles you’re overcoming, remember you can do it.

Everyday for the next week, write down 3 things you’re thankful for, 3 things you’re scared about and 3 reasons why you’re incredible. Make the things on your list as tangible as possible, even if you think it seems stupid. For instance, I’m thankful for my Klean Kanteen because it’s helped me stay hydrated on a more consistent basis than before I had it. Your list might even start with things your loved ones tell you instead of things you believe deep down in your heart. You might not see yourself as being a strong willed individual, but if your friends and family do, that’s something to pay attention to.

Go Ahead

This week, prioritize activities that make you feel fantastic. Break a sweat, eat something satisfying and refreshing, smother yourself in self tanner if you feel pale and disgusting, take a long bath, etc… This is about YOU and what makes YOU feel great. You have nothing to prove. All you need to do is find your inner peace, embrace a state of true happiness and re-discover your personal strength.

Shut Up

Sometimes, nothing feels better than blasting a great girl power anthem. Crank up the tunes in your car, have a private dance party at home and turn up your headphones to max volume!! Here are a few great tunes to get your playlist started…

Roar by Katy Perry
S&M by Rihanna
Girl Gone Wild by Madonna
Stronger by Kelly Clarkson
Work Bitch by Britney Spears
Lady Marmalade by Lil Kim, Mya, Pink and Christina Aguilera
Raise Your Glass by Pink
I Have Nothing by Whitney Houston
Firework by Katy Perry
SOS by Rihanna
Since U Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson
Dirrty by Christina Aguilera
Work It by Missy Elliott

No matter what you’re going through, someone out there understands. While alone time is important, remember not to seclude yourself. You don’t need to spill your guts out to everyone you see, but spending time with people that matter will undoubtably improve your mood. Even when life gets busy and friends are far away, there are people that love you and want to listen – these are the times you need them and they should be there for you. Asking for help and needing a supporting hand doesn’t mean you’re weak, it means you’re strong enough to reach out.

Conquer The World

We are women and there’s nothing wrong with admitting that you need to feel beautiful (and you SHOULD)!! Even when someone amazing is looking right at you and telling you how incredible you are, feeling it for yourself is a different story. Go buy a great new outfit, get a mani/pedi, go to the spa, get a haircut, invest in some new items for your makeup bag, etc… Glamming up and getting out there can put a big pep in your step when you feel so down in the dumps, so trapped in the mud and so unmotivated to move at all. One step will lead to another and you’ll get out of your dark place!!
